Seems Rogers will distribute it to other providers, but at what cost?

Does anyone know what Rogers is doing with TSN? They haven't announced anything and since some changes happening soon they should inform customers as many people will be quite confused when TSN2 becomes TSN1, etc.

I haven't heard anything yet. But I'm not sure what you mean by TSN 2 becoming TSN 1. I think TSN is becoming TSN 1, TSN 2 is staying TSN 2, and TSN 3-5 will be new.

If Rogers doesn't add the additional feeds, channel 30 will be TSN4 and channel 98 will remain TSN2. My assumption is; Rogers will add the remaining 3 this fall.

Isn't the national TSN feed becoming TSN2? , and TSN1 becoming a regional feed?

Yes but TSN1 is for the Pacific region. TSN4 is the Ontario (Leafs) region.

So what I'm saying is that what is TSN now on Rogers ch26 will become TSN2 and where TSN2 is on the dial will become TSN4, now won't that confuse Rogers customers??

Question

Though I no longer have Rogers, if I recall(Ottawa)

For Ottawa(probally the same in TO just different CH#'s

30 was TSN
98 was TSN2

I'm guess
30 will become TSN2
98 will be come TSN4 in TO TSN5 in Ottawa.

I also think Rogers will do a slight channel shuffler

365-369 which is presently PPV Events & RTV Sports will become TSN1-5, and those presently there will be moved slightly further down the channel line (Viewers Choice PPV area) since VC is closing down they''ll lose those spots.

From past experience it may take another year before Rogers decides to add the 3 new TSN channels.

No; what is currently TSN will now be a regional version of TSN. The TSN feed you have will very by region, in the case of Rogers in Toronto; they will get TSN4 on channel 30, in Ottawa it will be TSN5. Channel 98 will remain TSN2 because TSN2 is not region specific.

TSN1 -> Pacific region (Replaces TSN for those in BC and Yukon)
TSN2 -> Stays the same as it is today (not region specific)
TSN3 -> West region (Replaces TSN for Prairie provinces and Territories)
TSN4 -> Ontario (Replaces TSN)
TSN5 -> East (Replaces TSN in Eastern Ontario, Quebec and Maritimes)

In a nutshell, TSN1, 3, 4 & 5 will probably be airing the same live programming most of the time with regional specific content being different (Leafs in Ontario, Sens in East, regional editions of Sportscentre, and multifeeds of sporting tournaments etc.)

Question

If I where Bell I won't give Rogers, the other TSN channels only TSN2 and not the regional ones this way its pay back for FX.

We don't know the reasons why Bell won't carry FX . I doubt Rogers is being unfair since most other providers offer it. I think the problem lies with Bell regarding FX

New TSN channels will be on Rogers starting August 25th

According to this article from TSN.ca, on August 25th, Rogers along with many other providers, will be carrying the new TSN channels. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=459197
