Why do they put in the 170's with the other news channels, that I subscribe to and receive, if it's an a la carte channel?

They added RT -Russia Today and I receive it along with all the other channels in that range. Dumb Txt-TV is available, but I have to pay for AJE. Glad I got my LiveStation player (free online, anytime).

I was told by a Rogers rep that AJE is being offered a la carte as a multicultural service. If so why isn't it up in the 800's?

You've got to be kidding me. Multicultural service? The channel is in English and provides international news. If it's considered a multicultural channel, then so should BBC World

And Russia Today is also one that would be multicultural too.

On anothe note the Fireplace Channel is gone 175, perhaps they removed it for CNN International? Would seem the perfect spot for it?

Well at leasrt we know there be two new channels by theend of July AJE & Gobal Reality(assuming it launches and Shaw doesn't cancel iyt)

AMC HD on Rogers?

I was wondering if anyone knows if AMC HD will ever come to the Rogers lineup? It bugs me that Bell TV offers it in their channel lineup and Rogers always boasts having better HD channels then any other company.

I can't seem to search the forum for "AMC HD" so I apologize if this is an excessive repost.

Wink

hahahaha These stations literally make me LOL (laugh out loud). I'm watching them now. Rogers. Just imagine the Pandora's Box this could open up. "The Moonlight & Stars Channel", "The Messy Toddlers Eating With Food All Over Their Face Channel", "The Watching Grass Grow Channel".

I'm weird in the sense that sometimes I feel rather closed off, but want something on the background channel, so I'll tune to channel 800 (Omni On-Demand) and just have the warm glow of the bright red screen as my background company. Now I have this (and I'm serious, too)!

All we have to do is call Rogers and tell them we are switching to Bell TV because Rogers doesn't have AMC HD. If enough people do that we might get it added. Speaking of AMC... Has the quality on the SD improved lately or is it my imagination?

The description said that it was not available at this time. (until 2am I think). I think they are off the air in prime time when the bandwidth is used by other stations (like Super Sports Pack HD channels). Same like the channel 500 (preview HD) which is off the air at prime time as well.
