encryption broken? I wonder if my QAM tuner is going to pick up a bunch of stuff then.

I just ran through all the channels on the Samsung portable that has a QAM tuner and it looks like we're S.O.L. for picking up any un-encrypted channels here in the Burnaby area. I couldn't even get anything on 85-7 which usually carries the Seattle FOX channel unscrambled.
It's nice to be able to get all the digital and the rest of the HD channels above 212 on the main TV that's hooked up to the HD box!
Let's hope this situation lasts for a few more days!

In Edmonton everything is open right now except centre ice.
I hope this lasts until the writers strike is over.

I have a photographic memory, trouble is most times the lens cap is on.

Here is what I got :

We are currently performing some testing of our equipment over this holiday season, which may result in some digital channels being in the clear. Please be assured these will not appear on your bill. Testing will continue through to December 27th, so we encourage you to take the opportunity to view some of these channels if you have not seen them before and enjoy this opportunity over the holiday.

Any reason that almost every channel is encrypted with 5C now?

Looks like Shaw have solved their encryption issues (mostly).

This has also affected the firewire connections as discussed in another thread. I'm closing this thread since it appears to be over.
