It shows what some already knew but here it is again...

DDR2-667 is perfectly fine for the VAST majority of installs and uses. The article states that average DDR2-800 is the best dollar value but there is so little real difference that unless the 800 is only a few dollars more than the 667, save your money.

DDR2-800 is very affordable right now. I see 2GB kits as low as $40. That was not the case even a few months ago. OTOH, DDR2-667 is hitting new lows for any type of RAM. I've seen it selling as low as $18/GB.

Trying to go faster that DDR2-800 is definitely not worth it. It is often just overclocked slower RAM. Most enthusiasts will want to get slower, cheaper RAM and overclock it themselves.

I like integer multiples between the RAM and FSB and use 667 memory with 1333 boards and 800 memory with 1600 boards.
