PVR PC with Illico

Hi all,

Here is my setup
Windows Vista Ultimate w/MC. Have a intel dual core 2.0GB processor on a P35-DS3L Gigabyte board with 2gb of ram and a Asus EAH3850 256MB ATI Radeon based video card which is HDMI connected to my Tishiba 37" LCD TV.

I just purchased Illico Digital and settled on the SA Explorer 940 basic reciver.

Right now, my Illico receiver is connected (video) to my DVD via RG56 standard cable. I use my DVD-Recorder to output video to my TV via the HDMI cable. As stated above my PC's video is also going direct to LCD TV via HDMI.

All Audio sources are going to my Audio Receiver.

I just purchased an Hauppauge PVR-350 card. Will get it sometime tomorow, but before I open the box, I want to make sure i'm right or get feedback from you guys...

Basicaly I want to record my TV shows onto my PC. I need the ability to chedule record. It would be nice to be able to change channels directly from my PC and watch TV and PC at the same time (docked TV window)

let me know what you think.

PVR PC with Illico

Hi all,

I wanted to know if people here use Windows Vista with Media Center and a TV tuner to record shows off of there Illico Set-Top box?

I just purchased a Hauppauge HVR-1800 card and will install it tomorow.

But I want to know what people use as far a the PVR application and how they get the EPG from Videotron?

Thanks

SageTV with Illico?

Anyone use SageTV with Illico ?

If so, does SageTV show videotron channels?

Goto http://www.zap2it.com/ and if you can pull up your channel list there, than Sage will work for you. Sage uses zapit for the EPG data.

In one post you say you bought a Hauppauge PVR-350 card, and in another you say you bought a Hauppauge HVR-1800 card. You bought both?
