Yeah, my friend has a Gyration combo. I really like it too. I was thinking of picking one up, but I wanted a single keyboard/mouse unit. Just want it a single package. So far, I haven't seen or used one that has met my expectations.

I like the xGene because it's got a nice looking marble optical mouse. So far, the reviews say it's pretty accurate. I just ordered on from the sensuz store. i should be getting it next week. I'll post an update once I get it.

Thanks.

Sony Vaio Keyboard

I just picked up a Sony VAIO keyboard from a local Sony Store.

They only admit it works with certain models of VAIO systems but it installed as a RF device (no drivers required) in XP Pro (SP2) and recognized the keyboard & mouse as soon as they were turned on. I love the styling of this baby & it has a high WAF. It is a compact metal keyboard with a touchpad on the wrist rest. The wrist rest folds up over the keyboard with the touchpad on top and can be used like that too. It comes with a separate optical mouse that works just fine on my couch.

It's not a "media center" keyboard but I'm trying out Snapstream Beyond TV right now and will be loading Myth TV on this box soon too. I decided not to go with Media Centre as I want the PC primarily to capture video from my DVR in MPEG2 so I can burn it to DVD. I've ordered a Hauppage 150 MCE Kit with the Media Centre remote just so I get the "beanbag" IR receiver & blaster. I'm going to shelf the MC remote and use my Harmony 659 instead.
