IR extender for Xbox 360

Is there a plug 'n' play IR extender for the Xbox 360? I have the media remote and would like to hide the console but to do that I would have to go back to the RF game controller...

I use this weird "next generation remote control extender" to control a hidden AV receiver from another room. Tried it on a long shot after other IR extenders kept failing on me.

I am shocked to say that it works great! Every button press works, every time, from a large room away. Haven't even had to change the battery in about a year. I say shocked because of how it works - there is no IR receiver, it just somehow senses what the remote is sending through the battery compartment of the remote. Everything about that made me think "yeah, that'll never work". I was wrong.

Highly recommended.

Thanks, pnear. This looks just goofy enough to be the solution. Without your recommendation I would have laughed it off.
