Santa Claus had brought me a crystal radio kit from Radio Shack. I don't remember if I put it together before or after the one in the science club. The science club one had 2 transistors and required a 9 volt battery. The only thing the Radio Shack kit required was an antenna (which was wire strung out the bedroom window). I do recall, by the time I built the radio shack kit, whatever container it was supposed to have, was long gone and everything was attached to a block of wood. It worked.

WOR. For some reason those call letters sound familiar, but I don't remember where they are located.
