i'm hoping by the end of the year the ratings will be low enough that they will have a scheduled ending. like LOST, once they knew when the show would end, it got better.

Still a favourite of mine

While not equalling the first season, this one is definitely better than season two. Particularly the last few episodes. As someone who has seen them, if you have it PVR'd, I highly recommend watching 'em before dumping them.

I've pulled it from my rotation. Too many better shows out there.

Season 1 was great. Season 2 started slow but picked up nicely. This year...not really intriguing or exciting at all. (IMHO)

I'm still watching and have enjoyed the last few episodes. As I noted in the discussion thread, I find it got way too convoluted. I intend on finishing the season though.

I still find it worth watching, although the story line has been hard to follow at some times this year.

The story bounces around in time way too much.

This show has gone onto my "store for the holidays" list when we will be searching for something to watch during the Christmas break.

Maybe watching 6 or so episodes in a row will help make more sense out of the various stories/plots and time jumps......maybe

This season has had flashes of brilliance and then fizzled. I'm still enjoying it but as others have said its taken a little bit of forcing to get into the numerous story lines and timeline jumps. Its like they're trying to do far too much in a limited time and going around in circles at times retelling the same thing.

It took some time to get into the first season as well, they seem to start slow and then pickup about mid season and really get your attention. I think the main difference is that the first season had so much hype and commercial push that the past 2 seasons really havn't had. And you kind of knew where season 1 was going while 2 & 3 have been more of a mistery in a way.

Yes, "Save the cheerleader, save the world" from the first season sure grabbed my attention. Now I have no idea where it is going and I am starting to not care anymore.

Believe it or not, it's still "Save the cheerleader, save the world."
It's clearly headed for a show down between:
- Villains @ Pinehurst, led by Petrelli Sr
- Heroes @ what's left of "The Company" (@ Primatech), led by Mrs. Petrelli

My guess is that Mr. Petrelli is planning on world domination (with an army of people with abilities).

Claire is a key part of that as her blood carries the "catalyst" (combine that with the two halves of the secret formula--already in Pinehurst possession-- and regular people can be given abilities...enabling the Pinehurst army).

Question marks:
- which side does Sylar choose? If any...
- will Nathan realize he's chosen the wrong side?

Keys (in my view):
- Hiro regaining his memory
- can the Haitian suppress Mr. Petrelli's powers?
- will Peter regain any powers (post eclipse, maybe his "inner sponge" is reactivated)
- most importantly, can they keep Claire safe from Pinehurst? (to keep Pinehurst from the catalyst)

the level of intelligence in that reasoning is usually reserved for Claire.

Well, he appeared to suppress Arthur's powers while Angela poisoned him
