Battlestar Galactica Season 4

Heads up! It starts Friday April 4 at 10:00 pm on Space.

Episode Detail: He That Believeth in Me

Season 4 picks up where the third-season finale left off, with Starbuck's mysterious return unhinging the Galactica crew in the middle of a Cylon attack. Meanwhile, Anders enters the space melee and has a surprising standoff with a Cylon raider.

It was on City for a while. That's your best bet for HD although past seasons have been hit and miss for HD or not.

As far as I know, the only episodes that City have aired in HD were the first season episodes "Hand of God", and both parts of "Kobol's Last Gleaming". And this was because they had previously aired them simultaneously with NBC. All the rest were SD 4:3 letterboxed (with black bars on all 4 sides on the City HD channel); though I'm not sure I've checked recently since they went to 3 pm on Sundays - but I assume it still isn't HD given that their website which is quite good at identifying all the HD shows, doesn't indicate it is HD.

Though it still looks better than Space - which often seems a little too compressed - though shame that it's slighly enlarged on City HD - I wish they'd simply upconvert it to 16:9, or leave it how it is, so I can enlarge it myself.

Great season opening episode. I hope they can sustain it throughout the entire season. Last season they seemed to lose a lot of steam halfway through.

Did not disappoint, other than the "To be continued" part! This show rocks. Period.

That's different, I've heard a few people complain that they really didn't like the tone and feel, and even the writing, for the beginning of last season, but that it improved once they got away from New Caprica.

I just re-watched the entire third season, just before the season opener. Those slower episodes in the second half of season 3 were much better the second time around. I was a little too anxious the first time around for some action!

I'm curious as to what era they will find earth? I hope it's not present day, or those cylons will kick our asses.

I'll go out on a limb.....

Seriously doubt it is Kara Thrace. Too obvious. Same with Laura Roslin. The writers want us to believe it is one of them.

But I did have thoughts about Ellen Tigh. She was "dead" previously, and then miraculously/conveniently reappeared in time to torment Colonel Tigh for a while. From a timeline perspective this could make sense. I wrestled with the idea that Tigh was and always had been a Cylon. If the Cylons planted him long ago, even as a child, then making him weak enough to hook up with Ellen makes sense.
She represents a lot of things that are wrong with humanity.

Looking forward to the rest of this season.

I bet most of the episodes will end with "To be continued..."

The 1st episode of season 4 was really good IMO. Can't wait for the rest. It really sucks that it isn't in HD here though.

I don't suppose there will be a replay this week? I missed it Friday and Saturday.
