Cool

Hey hey hey...

American Idol is something you watch with the shades pulled down, in the privacy of your own home.

It is not something you brag about or start grandiose threads about on Digital Home Canada.

Let's hope that this thread ebbs back into the closet where it surely belongs.

Thank you.

Hey people here are starting threads and talking about toilet paper. I think American Idol might be as intersting to talk about as a double roll of two ply.

I meant to check if the west coast HD-FOX ended up working, but forgot.

Hopefully tonight won't be screwy. This was the first time I've had a problem with HD-FOX Detroit...
West coast FOX was fine - ended up recording it as well.

I find this year to be very boring -- Paula looks spaced out and there is no disagreements between the judges - all lovely dovey. I think they are also spending too much time on each contestant and not showing us more. All around not impressed with the first two hours.

a few funny parts. some great "cut to dopey contestant" moments

HD looked good, had no problems on Bell FoxHDE feed

but with this many seasons in, they sure are scraping the bottom of the barrel

They just arent showing the good singers. I guess they will save that for future episodes.

Paula definately looks spaced out. Does she take Valium before the show?

There's another one from Q13 Fox Seattle's morning show. It's on YouTube.

Paula's recent interviews just prove the judges are a farce. They serve no purpose beyond the semi-finals, and in my opinion are just there for entertainment value. Get rid of 'em.

Wow she looks so bad in that video. She'd fit right in downtown with all the junkies.

I can't understand why so many people still watch this "reality" show and others like. Until people stop watching this junk we are stuck with it.

Kids took control and it was on the HD tube tonight. Very painful watching that many people make fools of themselves. Poured stiff shot of Crown Royal on the rocks to ease my pain.

Yes, please, everyone post your faulty simsubs of American Idol (and other shows) in the Faulty HD Simsub Log.

The creation of this thread was to discuss the "finer" points of the actual program, i.e.: the contestants, the freaks, the judges, and the show in general.

So, please, TOPIC.

O.k... I will chime in...

I am very surprised at Randy and Paula's conduct throughout the audtions that I have seen. They seem like they are way more willing to laugh out loud at the contestants then they have been in the previous seasons. At least from the limited amount I have seen. A little over done! Even the facial expressions and eye rolls... Simon would do it from time to time in the past... but the other two are doing it all the time!
Also... bringing in their mom's like they did last night for the girl with the hair to the floor.... why bother! I guess an opportunity to make fun of anoter person.

Simon is still Simon... so that consistency is sadly the only redeeming quality so far this season!

Was it just me or did Paula seem a little out of it last night. She was acting very odd. I haven't paid too much attention to previous reports of her strange behaviour during interviews. However, her antics last night made me question the validity of those articles (I normally take most things with a grain of salt).

Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid.
