I'll give CEDIA and World Report a try, maybe even the 2 travelling shows but man the content on this Canadian channel is pretty limited. I spend a little while on the HDnet website the other day looking at all the stuff they show, only to find out that 90% of it would be unavailable in Canada. I also didn't realize that HDmovies was a seperate channel, and was under the impression that those were movies that are on HDnet :P So no movies, sports, series, or classic series... pretty lame. Don't get me wrong, I am glad to have ANY new HD channel but I can't see myself watching much of this and I certainly wouldn't pay extra money for it either. What I would love to see is for them to combine HDnet and HDmovies into 1 channel in Canada. Since most of the content it blocked anyways, why not replace all the missing sports and series with movies?

The movies are usually not worth watching and a few of them end up on HDnet. IMHO the movie channel is a waste of band width.

HDnet World Reports and the music series are worth watching. Plus, if you like women, there are a few shows that you might be interested in.

Just to further 57's comment. We have another forum and threads for discussing the CRTC so please use them. Any rants on the CRTC will be deleted from this thread and the member awarded a 4 point infraction!

I'm voting with my pocket book and NOT purchasing this channel. Others should vote the same.

Give me/us REAL HD content, not this stripped down crap.

First this is the best hd channel we have right now so give it a rest.Second it will be part part of the hd pack. With that said i am very happy with the channel and would have no probleams paying up words of $8.00 alone for it.

I tuned in for a while last night on ExpressVu and it sure looked like it was 720p to me. Hopefully they've changed back to 1080i now that they've made it official with a press release.

Expressvu has 50 HD channels??? That dosen't sound right to me, unless someone can list them all... I think there are only about 30.

I just say the launch of a Delta rocket on HDNet. Amazing picture. Now that we'll get to see NASA launches, just that alone is worth having the channel. The HD movie trailers is great and the Smart Travels are much clearer than we used to see on PBS. I think I'll like this channel.

Home Theatre: Yamaha HTR-6190, Klipsch Speakers, SANYO PLV-Z4, TOSHIBA HDDVD, LG BD555C, Cerwin Vega HTS12 Sub, VIP2300, XBox 360, HTPC.

Wow. 24 hours on the air and you can make such a comment?

Most of us in Canada don't have this channel yet. Consider yourself lucky you have such an option.

For the record, you won't find a better HD channel, even a Canada version is better than anything else north of the 49th.

Since Rogers is adding it to the HD Specialty package at no additional charge, I think it is good value. The little bit I watched was excellent quality.

Thanks for the link.

I see that they list the HDNet Test patterns on Sunday Morning 6:50, but the Rogers IPG doesn't have this, so I set the recording on the IPG, but changed the time for 6:50-7AM.
