Maybe it's even an inside joke - perhaps the actor that plays Chris loves all the free schwag that he gets at all the awards shows that the Sopranos go to - such as the Emmys and Golden Globes.

There was an article in a Quebec newspaper this past weekend. They were showing the difference in "gifts" for those who present nominations at the Oscars and those who present at Canadian shows. The example they gave was Nicole Kidman, who got a gift basket worth $100 000 and a Canadian woman (can't recall her name) and she had a $1000 gift basket. That got me laughing.

I was really glad that Tony came to his senses before he bedded the real estate agent. The near death experience has changed him dramatically.

Also by selling his property and carrying the mortgage he is starting to obtain "clean" money. Of course at a detriment to his collegues who made "security" money off the meat market guy. It will be interesting to see what else Tony does to earn a legitimate living. He may be inching himself out if that's possible in the gang world. I guess when you are boss you can do anything you want on the surface.

Wow, the set up for disaster grows bigger and bigger every week. The house of Soprano is getting ready to crumble.

Lots of plots have little history behind them this year. The wedding being the most recent example. Oh well, only 3 episodes left.

I think all of the sub-plots will eventually tie in. For example, in last night's episode we finally saw how Tony was told of Adriana's betrayal and that occurred several episodes ago. I am wondering whyCarmella hasn't figured out what obviously must have happened to Adriana. Now that Christopher has married, I think more questions will come up regarding Adriana's demise.

"That clip in the basement was from last season. It might have been extended, not sure."

That clip never existed at all until yesterday. Last season Chris left to think about the situation, next was a call to Adriana from Tony, then Sill picked up Ade, and it was game over.

As with most things with Carmela, she chooses what she wants to figure out and what she would rather be ignorant of or ignore. She is selectively clueless to some of the things going on around her. She crosses paths with Adriana's mother, hears the bitter woman's theory that Chris killed Ade, and manages yet again to tune out any truth she doesn't want to hear.

Watching last night's episode, I was wondering what the wine that Tony and Chris heisted was supposed to symbolize. The way it was focused on.....brought up repeatedly by different characters - the wine was a lot more than "just wine".

Thoughts?

I think the wine symbolizied the "thrill" of life - the excitement they reached, the high from an adreneline rush?

Am I getting new Sony?

The wine was just a commodity, waiting to be stolen. It could easily have been TVs. So the act of stealing is the important thing.....it made them feel manly / useful / young again...just like in the old days.

It also showed how stupid these people really are...they got $300 a case for the wine....

The wine was a tool to show how Tony was an enabler to Christopher's relapse. Tony knows that Christopher is a substance abuser, but he lets him have a glass of wine with him at dinner. This little act leads Christopher to think that just a little bit of heroin is okay too. Yet somehow Tony thinks Christopher is getting his act together.

As for selling the wine for $300 a case...it's all profit to them so even if it seems low from a retail persepctive, he still made a killing. No pun intended.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Christopher doing some serious drugs in the episode where he went to LA? It's not just Tony's push that is doing this to him...

But I digress. All in all I have found this to be a very disappointing season (very hit or miss). If I hadn't invested so much time to previous seasons loving the show, I might have given up on it by now.
