Hi there's a new show on Amazon in the US but it was made in Canada called Tin Star. Does any body know if it will be on TV in Canada or maybe it will be on Amazon like in the US? :-(
I believe that it is a British production. It's being shown by Sky in the UK and Amazon has only the USA rights. They could acquire the rights for Canada or someone else might like Showcase or bravo but as of now i believe that no one has.A second season has been confirmed so that's always a good sign that someone might pick it up.
Thank you Sherds. Yes it has already been on Sky in the UK. Thats good news about the renew as you say that makes it more promising to get bought in Canada.
I watched the 10 episodes on Amazon Prime US over the last couple of evenings. However, my early enthusiasm for a UK production, shot in Waterton, AB, about murder, the environment, bitumen extraction, starring arch villain Tim Roth -- the lethal swordsman fop of Rob Roy fame -- slowly sagged into disappointment. Moreover, I was born and raised in Calgary yet the show failed to deliver even on the homeland connection. BTW, Fort McMurray is over a thousand kilometres northeast of drop dead gorgeous Waterton and likely too preoccupied with recovering from fire and celebrity protesters to be hospitable to film crews. At least Leo Dicaprio wasn't there to complain it was to warm, when the chinooks blew. The Brits did show AB has indoor plumbing, even offering a glimpse of the legion of skyscrapers in Calgary. Some credit also goes to UK production for calling Calgary "Calgary" not Denver or Minneapolis/St Paul.
Thank you for the information asd. I didn't know it was about today I thought it was a Western. Anyway we like TIm Roth from Lie to Me so we will try it if we can see it somewhere!
I have been looking for it as well They are back in High River in 4 days to start filming season 2
