DHX Media Announces Teletubbies Season Two

DHX Media and CBeebies, the BBC's dedicated pre-school channel, announce plans to produce 60 more episodes for a second season of the new Teletubbies.

DHX Television Orders Second Season of Hit Original Drama Backstage

DHX Television confirmed today that Fresh TV will deliver a 30-episode sophomore season of the hit original series Backstage for Family Channel's 2017 broadcast season.

DHX Media and Iconix forge deal to grow Strawberry Shortcake brand

DHX Media and Iconix Brand Group have entered into a long-term agreement to co-develop and co-produce a new animated series based on the iconic entertainment toy brand, Strawberry Shortcake.

In an additional deal, DHX also becomes the exclusive, global distributor for the Strawberry Shortcake back catalogue, adding 108 half-hours to the 8 half-hours of Strawberry Shortcake content already in the DHX distribution library.

Under the terms of the deal, DHX and Iconix will jointly finance, co-develop and co-produce at least 39 new half-hour episodes of Strawberry Shortcake, with the option for additional episodes. All episodes will be produced by DHX Studios, and DHX will be the exclusive worldwide distributor of this new content across all media, with the possibility to extend for additional seasons. Iconix will maintain ownership of copyrights and all intellectual property.

DHX Media & Dentsu Entertainment USA, Inc. Strike Global Deal On New Animated Mega Man Series

DHX Media Ltd. and Dentsu Entertainment USA, Inc. have struck a global deal to develop, co-produce, distribute and jointly manage licensing for a new Mega Man animated series based upon the legendary Capcom Mega Man video game franchise. Aimed at kids 6 to 9, as well as their parents who grew up loving the videogames, the new Mega Man animated series has a target air date of 2017, coinciding with the franchise's 30th anniversary.

Family Channel Celebrates girl power with the premiere of new series We Are Savvy, July 1

Family Channel will debut We Are Savvy on Friday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes of We Are Savvy will also be offered on Family OnDemand and through the Family Channel App as they become available weekly.

Family Channel's F2N heads back to school as Degrassi: Next Class Season 2 premieres July 19

Family Channel announced today that the second season of Degrassi: Next Class will debut on Tuesday, July 19 at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT. The network premiere leads into the release of the entire season on The Family Channel App three days later on Friday, July 22. Free of charge to Family Channel subscribers, the App will feature all 10 episodes from the new season of Canada's longest-running teen drama series in its F2N section. Degrassi fans who want to prepare to binge Season 2 can download the Family Channel App in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or visit www.familygo.ca for more information.

New episodes will continue to air weekly on Tuesdays at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT. Seasons 3 and 4 are currently being filmed at DHX Studios' Toronto production facility and will debut on Family Channel in 2017.
