How to watch Eastbound and Down?

Quick question. I just watched this series and loved it. I recommended it to someone at work who has The Movie Network or HBO Canada or whatever.

But they said they checked their On Demand and only saw Season 4. How can they find this show to watch?

Afaik Netflix never gets HBO shows and never will.

Do people who have HBO Canada get access to some online portal to watch all HBO shows?

HBO signed a deal with Amazon so its available to stream on Amazon Prime, if you have the means to watch it.

Just so I am clear, does this person at work have TMN or HBO Canada, or do you get HBO Canada if you sign up for TMN?

And if they do get HBO Canada, what about HBO GO, or is that just American?

HBO Canada is part of TMN (or Movie Central in the west). Here is the online portal, but it looks like only season 4 is available online.

There is an HBO Canada GO app, but it probably doesn't have anything more than HBO Online. HBO GO is free if you subscribe to HBO.

FXX showed season 3 & 4 in the spring, but it isn't currently airing the show. (FXX is only available on Rogers Cable right now).

Season 1 of the show should be available to buy on iTunes or DVD.

Does this announcement today of Bell and Corus buying old HBO shows mean Eastbound will be available to subscribers of TMN?

It sounds like it should be, but I just skimmed the press release earlier. It may take a few weeks to load all the episodes.

I posted the HBO Canada press release here:

http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=218450

My guess is that the deal is for catch-up viewing of current series, so it wouldn't include Eastbound & Down, since the show has already ended.

Quote:
Bell Media and Corus Entertainment announced today a landmark multi-year, multi-platform deal with HBO that will see HBO Canada exclusively deliver the entire past-season library of every HBO scripted series currently on air for years to come. The deal immediately strengthens HBO Canada's consumer offering, and will roll out in full force this fall.
Bell Media's press release in the same thread said they acquired all old series, so Eastbound & Down may end up on their streaming service next year.
