Of course, like all Canadian "HD" channels, we now sit and wait for the HD.

And wait.

And wait...

The CBC should state right now that when hockey comes back, HNIC will be available in HD.

The players and owners won't know what pressure to settle is until they have to deal with the HD crowd.

Come on, you're being sarcastic. Rogers has yet to charge for a Canadian OTA channel. I wish their pricing was for a set number of channels - $5/month for 10 HD channels of your choice. How many folks would end up wanting Omni1, Omni2, CTV-HD, Global?

Rogers HDCBC (Ch 272) and HDSRC (Ch 273) test channels are also available in Carleton Place. I hope Rogers does not start charging for them.

Will we ever see CBC-HD on Shaw?

When they ditch some of the useless digital channels, as well as family and teletoon time shift, maybe....They need bandwidth, and they don't have it, 'apparently'.
But what about a dedicated FOX, and Sportsnet...then CBC...Then WGN.

I would think that CBC should be carried before any American channels, even to the extent that if bandwidth were limited they would delete a major American network to make room for it.

I don't see it coming for a while. I mean they could surprise us and add it exactly when the other providers like Rogers do but I just don't see it happening especially with the limited lineup of HD that Shaw has right now.

Unfortunately for us they are just behind the others and I hope Im wrong but if I had to guess I'd say this fall if were lucky whereas the others ie Rogers will get it asap.

I don't see how any Canadian carrier could not carry the CBC ASAP. Given the CRTC, etc. Canadian channels should be given priority. Most people wouldn't be happy with it but that is the way that things work in Canada.

This is Shaw were talking about though.

Yeah I agree we should have it right away but on this system we still don't even have Tsn HD or Sportsnet HD and those are Canadian as well.

I'm sure none of us in Shaw land like waiting and waiting but we've had to get used to it.
