Kicking-off the first day of the festival on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 5:30 a.m. ET, Breakfast Television - Toronto’s #1 morning show - takes over the red carpet at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto for a live broadcast from TIFF central with hosts Dina Pugliese, Kevin Frankish, Frank Ferragine, and Jennifer Valentyne. Throughout the festival, Entertainment City on Breakfast Television will continue to bring audiences the day’s first scoop on late-night, breaking entertainment news on television, online, tablet, and mobile.

City:
On City, viewers can tune into Entertainment City on CityNews at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. ET where Dina Pugliese, Melanie Ng, Tammie Sutherland, and the hilarious celebrity expert duo of Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan report live from the red carpets and parties, bringing viewers closer to the stars. Making his TIFF red carpet reporting debut is Canada’s favourite bachelor – Brad Smith. City will also carry around-the-clock TIFF action with live videos on-demand, and live-streaming on CityNews.ca.

Rogers Radio:
Capturing unscripted and unexpected celebrity moments, KiSS 92.5’s Taylor Kaye and Maurie Sherman, aka “Damnit Maurie”, hit the carpets, parties, and press conferences, while 680News’s A-list team of veteran entertainment reporters Gloria Martin, Rudy Blair, Eva Fragiskatos, and FIPRESCI jury member, Leslie James cover all TIFF angles for Toronto’s only all-news radio station. 680News.com will also carry live stream video of the festival’s biggest red carpets as part of its online TIFF coverage.

OMNI Television:
OMNI Television shines the spotlight on South Asian cinema at TIFF as Bollywood Boulevard’s Veronica Chail sits down with Indian film stars Irrfan Khan, A.R. Rahman, Freida Pinto, and the cast of the highly-anticipated Bollywood movie Shuddh Desi Romance. OMNI Television’s daily multilingual newscasts will also carry special TIFF coverage, with reports on Chinese and Hong Kong movies to be featured on OMNI News: Mandarin Edition and OMNI News: Cantonese Edition, and Italian actors and directors here for TIFF to be featured on OMNI News: Italian Edition.
