Law & Order: SVU will air on CTV on Sundays while it will also be on NBC on Wednesdays. My question is, is the CTV broadcast half a week earlier or half a week later than the original one on NBC?

Bell Media updated the press release on their site again on Aug 27. Since they didn't issue a new press release, I didn't notice they added these shows which were previously TBA.

Sunday, Sept. 22
7 p.m. - CASTLE (CTV)

Sunday, Sept. 29
9 p.m. - CASTLE (CTV) *Regular time slot

Wednesday, Sept. 25
8 p.m. - LAW & ORDER: SVU (CTV)

The U.S. premieres are:
Castle ABC 10:00 PM Monday, Sept. 23, 2013
Law & Order: SVU NBC 9:00 PM Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013

So Castle will be 1 day early and SVU will be 1 hour early.

Dr. Dave, can you show us the link to the update?

If CTV keeps on changing the time and the channel of the shows, I will just record them on the original American channels. I do not care if they will be simsubbed or not, but I will not lose an episode that way.

It's the same link as post 13 - it just says *UPDATED AUG. 27, 2013*:

Press Release.

@Roger - I certainly didn't mention comskip in my complaints, and in retrospect I'm sorry I even mentioned it here - I mean these shows *do* need to be paid for. I think I'm still glowing in the joy of having cut the cable over a year ago, and the fact that the few shows I did enjoy were available OTA was a bonus. This being said I paid into Maclean Hunter's, then Roger's coffers for a good 30 years before I cut.

CTV HD ... no more Colbert Report?

it would appear CTV has yanked 'The Colbert Report' and replaced it with Jimmy Fallon following 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart'.
Bizarre and kinda dumb, really. CTV viewers like Stewart but NOT Colbert?

@tvmaster: CTV viewers like Stewart but NOT Colbert? You betcha! Colbert is a loud mouthed jerk. He has sort of a "hate" for Canada over the years, making fun of us in a not-nice way. We get the Daily Show on Comedy network not CTV. sailmaker

sailmaker, you realize the reason Canada is such a continuing narrative on his program is because his writing staff includes many Canadians? It's called parody, isn't it, and in-line with most of their other writing, it's meant to be a complement (you saw the Windsor bridge piece no doubt)?
I would have thought this Liberal-based program would be welcomed by most Canadians who continually like to bitch about America....on the other hand, I can see why staunch, right-wing viewers wouldn't enjoy the self-reflection

there's a simple solution....stop watching the American shows. I have nearly eliminated all the sitcoms I used to watch since CBC started producing better, local programs. Whenever I ask friends if they watch Canadian or American Idol, however, the answer is always "American". Blech....

The Colbert Report...two Emmy Awards last night: Best Writing and Best Variety Series. Which apparently isn't something CTV's interested in. Still can't figure it out. Must be something to do with money...

The real reason they put Jimmy Fallon on CTV is that it is on at the same time on NBC, so they can sim-sub over it. The Colbert Report is on Comedy Network in the US, thus there is no sim-sub opportunity. They could have brought CTV2 into the mix, but they would rather Jimmy Fallon on CTV as it is broadcast in (and thus has sim-sub rights in) more cities, but maybe they could have moved the Colbert Report onto CTV2 rather than showing a Criminal Minds repeat.

Link to my TVFool results is in my profile Homepage URL. I suggest others do the same.
