Well the time for this double mistake has arrived. Dumping Colbert Report is bad enough, but replacing it with Jimmy Fallon? That's cruel.

CTV.ca appears to have already removed The Colbert Report videos.

I do hope Stephen Colbert takes CTV to task for dumping The Colbert Report. Unfortunately, if he does, I wont' get to see it as I don't subscribe to The Comedy Network. Although, I suppose I could watch it online after the air date.

As for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he takes over The Tonight Show in Feb/14 so it will be Late Night with Seth Meyers after that date.

Colbert Report’s time on CTV comes to an end: “exclusive to Comedy”

Quote:
Of course, the wishes of viewers aren’t really factored in here. Given the choice, they would probably prefer the existing system, seeing Stewart and Colbert on CTV and having the option to watch classic late-night on NBC. But when the wishes of the viewers conflict with the ability to game the system for more profits…

Relegating Colbert to two low def airings in the middle of the night is annoying.

NBC is also making a mistake banking on Fallon. Dave will maintain his viewers, so Jimmy Kimmel may be the biggest beneficiary of NBC's foolishness.

Also noticed the schedule for MuchMusic now includes Jimmy Fallon and a ton of shows pulled from the Comedy network (Simpsons, Tosh.0, Fresh Prince, etc)

Fresh Prince was never on Comedy Network. It has always been on Much.

What a bummer the Cobert is gone I complained on the CTV website, encourage you all to do the same;

As my name suggests, I will never return to Bhell or Robbers, no matter what. Anyone have alternate means for Colbert?

Bhell at work, trying to get us to subscribe?

Online does work via commodity central site so thanks DS. I was thinking I'd need be in the US (or use a VPN) but it was not necessary. However, there's no blasting thru the commercials when watching online.

I was not talking about Comedy Central. I was talking about The Comedy Network which shows the shows online after they are aired.

Yeah I loved watching Colbert after Jon, was a nice hour, then sometimes Conan if still awake,
but will not pay extra for comedy, not even sure if videotron carries it.
Watched the Social Eh, um arghhh!! yup sure reminded me of the view, which I painfully watched once or twice for a few minutes, like Cackling chickens in a roost, bock, bock , boock. god what terrible programs.

Yes, that what I meant LOL, not "commodity central" which I actually typed in, sounds like a trading floor.

I used to start with the Daily Show too, had the htpc set to tape it & not stop until 30 min had passed, thus scooping Colbert as well. With horror I'd captured Fallon...

COMPLAIN HERE PLEASE;

I will complain. I can watch via streaming, but it will not come close to my crystal clear HD OTA recordings (with comskip ) ! Been watching these two shows for many years - used to like Daily Show better, but Colbert has edged Jon out in my books. His writers, and his delivery are as good as it gets in this genre. It's Colbert's interviews that really put him ahead - always entertaining, even though you can get the same book huckster types that appear on Daily Show. Stephen's interviews are always funnier than Stewarts. I have posted to Colbert's FB page, Tweeted them, and will try here as well http://www.comedycentral.com/help/programming-feedback

Great! hey, is comskip the leading commercial remover? and does it ever cut off parts of the show?

that's an area I've never ventured into on my windows 7 htpc.

I put an note on the comedycentral site you posted above, but I'm thinking it's not their fault, more likely CTV/Bell.

Foxenhimr, I wouldn't use comskip as part of your argument. CTV's primary source of revenue is advertising, and if they know you are skipping it, they will take your complaint less seriously.

Link to my TVFool results is in my profile Homepage URL. I suggest others do the same.
