It looks like Big Brother After Dark won't be on until 2am each night this year, rather than midnight (which is when Showtime 2 has it on).

Quote:
You know I was excited about having Global Reality TV last year to watch after dark. But that excitement waned pretty quickly. You really really realize how effing boring it is/ they are. It's a live three hours, mostly of watching the HGs cook dinner, sit in the backyard, and sleep. They know they are on TV for the three hours as well so there's nothing "candid" about it. It's BORING with a capital B.
It isn't too bad if you record it and then fast forward through the bits where absolutely nothing is happening. It gets progressively more boring, though, as the number of housemates goes down.

This could be the only show on Network Prime Time that isn`t in HD.

Attach some Go Pro cameras to their heads.

Must say the whole coach thing is an interesting twist; but I wonder if this automatically forms built-in alliances.

So, Season 14 brings a new twist with 4 returning house guests acting as Coaches in the house with 12 new house guests. The returning members were Dan from BB10, Mike Boogie from BB2/All Stars, Janelle from BB6/All Stars and Britney from BB12.

They each picked three team members at the start of the show and were notified that if one of their team members wins BB, the Coach gets $100K. The Coaches do not participate in the competitions.

Team Britney won the first HoH competition. As Coach, Britney nominated Willie for HoH. Turns our, Willie is the brother of Russel from Survivor. Interesting.

Team Dan came in last place in the HoH competition and thus faced eviction. As Coach, Dan had to decide who to evict and he settled on the weakest player in Jodi.

We'll see if this season has lasting power... as always, it takes a while to get into it...

Don't be surprised if the evicted honeymooner gets a chance to come into the house. Kicking somebody out so soon wasn't the best idea.

Glad to see Willie win HOH though Wil one with L is already getting on my nerves.

Yeah, I was surprised that someone was booted so early... I'm sure we'll see something happen that will give them a chance to get back in the game...

I actually hope they don't come back, like how they do it in Amazing Race. On a couple of the first legs, before the race had really begun, if you came in last in the first competition you were eliminated. I like that, it raises the stakes and makes it more unpredictable.

I'm VERY glad that 3 of my 4 favourite players have returned. If only they had gotten Dr. Will instead of Boogie I would have been 4 for 4.

Dan's team is useless. You need to nominate players from the stronger teams.

Watched a few minutes of BBAD on Slice on the first night (morning). Wow, so boring.

BB still being SD is like going back in time. It's hurting my eyes. I understand the expense of replacing 50+ cameras. At a minimum, the studio (ChenBot) and diary room stuff should be HD, and there should be a few "main" HD cameras scattered throughout the house.
