Did I miss something? Shouldn't the "dumb couple" (Nicki and Vicki) have done another task since they finished last? Or did I miss it?

My wife and I were thinking the same thing. There should have been a speed-bump for N&V but there wasn't. At the end of the last episode, Phil did not mention anything about a speed-bump which he usually does. This kinda makes the previous leg useless as there was really no penalty for finishing last.

Regarding no speed-bump for Nick and Vicki, apparently there's been talks about it on twitter, facebook, and other forums. It's rumored Nick posted on his facebook page that it was all because TAR production compensated on the error they made in refusing the team's correct music sheet in the previous episode. I can't seem to find Nick's facebook page though.

I don't understand why Michael and Kevin got penalized for hiring the taxi to lead the way. They are not the first to do it, only in other occasions teams were driving behind the taxi instead of running alongside. Or was it because the taxi transported the backpacks for them?

In the voice over, Phil explicitly said that the teams could ask for help, but could not follow a taxi to the destination. Whether that was written in the instructions is another question.

If the judgement error was the reason for the "no speed bump", they should have explained it. Obviously it turns out I wasn't the only person who noticed its omission.

I agree. They need to explain it.

Then I find it unfair to Mike&Kevin as I said earlier that others have done that in the past without penalty although they drove behind their hired taxi instead of running alongside.

Double u turn tonight. I'm willing to bet it's a non elimination round.

Wrong. :-) (on the non-elim round, not double u-turn)

Once again, tonight's tasks didn't seem to be all that difficult.

Persistence paid off at the airport for those who finished first. I'm glad the team I'm going for is still in it (go docs go).

Since both of my favorite teams are no longer in the race (Michael/Kevin & Gary/Mallory), I'll be rooting for Brook & Claire. That was a pretty close race/leg towards the end.

Ya, I was surprised that the uturn was part of an elimination round.

I'm not a fan of that happening but i hate Chad, so all is good.

My favourite teams were also the "asians" and Mallory and her dad.

The docs don't need the money so I might root for the home shopping gals.

I'm sure Chad is kicking himself for have that fast food meal and not looking for better flights.

I want the Docs to win all the way. I don't care if they need the money or not, if they race well and work well together, then they deserve to win.

Boy, Nick sure is a nasty piece of work. If Vicki doesn't dump this guy after the race is over she's looking at some serious trouble if she stays with this jerk! He has the classic pattern of an abuser e.g. He says and does nasty things to his partner then repents and says he will never, ever do it again only to repeat the cycle over and over. Often women who hook up with this kind of creep end up badly battered or even dead!

Ya, him and Chad are two of a kind. I doubt they will catch up next week.
