I guess there's no way this is in HD this year...too bad really...you'd think it could be done?

It's probably the easiest show to do in HD since all the filming is done in a fixed location (on a tv lot).

No excuse.

The house is equipped with a whack load of cameras, I forget how many. So, that would be a lot of cameras to get rid of and get whole new more expensive HD cameras And I'm sure there are others things you'd have to do to make the show HD accessible too. So that's a lot of money to invest when who knows how much longer they'll keep doing this show.

Well, who knows when this thing will end and what the CBS executives are thinking. 12 seasons or not, by the end of this season, we might get an announcement that it's the last one. I don't know the ratings but I'm positive it doesn't get the number that House gets or something like it. I hope it doesn't end anytime soon, but you just never know. So why invest a ton of money into upgrading to HD when it's a question mark on how long it will continue.

hopefully it lasts up until another All-Stars Season. The first one was Season 7, so my guess would be Season 14. I want to see Jeff & Jordan on Big Brother again

The show does quite strong summer numbers. It usually draws around 7 million viewers - last season the show debuted with 6.29 million viewers, its smallest premiere audience ever - and builds as the season progresses. Just for comparison, Thursday night's "Wipeout" pulled 8.63 million and "Rookie Blue," labelled as the hottest new scripted show of the summer drew 6.84 million last week. You can't compare "Big Brother" with "House" or any other fall debuting show for the simple reason that audience numbers fall off considerably during the summer. I don't think that "Big Brother" is going anywhere any time soon.

Going to HD would be of minimal cost to CBS but would affect the bottom line for the corporate bean counters. It does make a lot of money for the eye network.

Not sure that I like anybody so far. Too much b..b talk. Guess it wants to appeal to the dumbed down audiences of summer.

Ok...If I was playing, I'd want to keep the sabateur for as long as possible. I mean, this is a guy who's not competing against you to win $500K, right? Who cares if they lock the cupboard or tape up pictures. I could live with that stuff.

The Jewish guy is, IMO, the real twist of the game. There's so many rules he has to observe in that house, I really wonder just how Jewish he really is. what's he gonna do on Friday evenings to Saturday? How's he getting to shul? Technically can he talk into his microphone? He's not allowed to use electricity or turn anything on and off.
