No where in Canada to start as most cable operators only get Peachtree TV- not TBS.

My guess is (hopefully) Citytv or maybe a cable net like Star! (which airs repeats of The Tonight Show and Late Night in the afternoon).

Preferably, it'll be a station with an HD feed.

He'll go head-to-head against Jay Leno and David Letterman: O'Brien's show will air at 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, premiering after the World Series this November. George Lopez's Lopez Tonight will bump to midnight to accommodate O'Brien.
Quote:
O'Brien stepped down from the Tonight Show in January after NBC revealed they would push it back to 12:05 a.m. so Leno could return to the coveted 11:35 p.m. slot.
Irony? Hypocrisy?

TBS's distribution nationally in the USA: 96.1 million out of a possible 113 million homes (85 percent).

Also, unlike conventional TV networks,
TBS gets $0.49 per subscriber to help pay the salaries.

Conan to be on TBS

Oh oh, most cable/satellite shows Peachtree TV and not TBS. Peachtree hasn't carried Lopez Tonight up to now.

NEW YORK — Late-night mainstay Conan O’Brien is headed to TBS to resume his comedic duties with a talk show expected to debut in November, the network said Monday.

The program will air Mondays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. Eastern, shifting TBS’ “Lopez Tonight,” starring George Lopez, to midnight.

O’Brien quickly fired out a celebratory tweet.

“The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show,” he posted Monday on Twitter.

Maybe some reading is in order....

Mr. Polone said he went to Mr. O’Brien to inform him of the TBS offer. “Conan said, ‘We’re not putting ourselves in the position of shoving somebody out of his show.’ ” That blocked the potential deal for a brief time.

But that position changed after another phone call. Mr. Polone said that Mr. Lopez himself called Mr. O’Brien personally. “George called Conan to sell Conan on this idea. He was all for it. It really was George who made this happen.”

Thanks stefcold. That just happened to be the first thing I read about Conan on TBS and it struck me as amusing given Conan's history.

On a more serious note, Lopez probably sees a Conan lead-in as a ratings booster for the Lopez show.

I can't believe that TBS is still not in Canada. Hopefully CoCo will be available on another channel in Canada. I miss my TBS :'(.

Lopez ratings will fall. It's on too late for anybody to care(assuming you knew you had a show on in the first place).

Conan will fail. Bad network, bad time zone, bad lead ins, major competition at 11 and 11:30.

Quitting The Tonight Show was a bonehead move.

I would imagine someone will pick up Conan in Canada but it will take a while to negotiate rights so it might be a month or two before we hear something.
