Too bad Max Weinberg won't be part of the show. He started a 17 piece orchestra after The Tonight Show gig, and he's booked well into 2011.

Conan will have to find another sexual deviant to blame for the world's woes. And they can't use Wormsworth since he's way too nice and clean to be accused of anything aside from maybe the national propagation of athlete's foot!

Looks like CTV at 1am, and the Comedy Network at 11pm.

Does anyone know if the show will be presented in HD? If so, you'll likely need to wait until the 1am CTV presentation to catch it in HD. Until the Comedy Network goes HD, that is.

I suspect the Comedy Network broadcast will be next day, just like the other late night shows.

Yes The Comedy Network will have the premiere of Conan episodes in Canada. They will also have The Daily Show and The Colbert Report in pre-release.

I really liked the first episode. Now that Conan won't be tamed by nbc brass he can be funny again. good to see Andy and most of the band there. I'm sure they would have liked to keep Max, but tbs probably couldn't afford him.

I heard in today's paper it was more self-pity humour.

Be interested to see week 2 ratings.

It's ALWAYS been self-pity humour!

I especially liked his new studio layout. He's much closer to the audience now. Not isolated from them by a six foot cliff like in the last place.

Nice to see The Masturbating Bear has a new job. Hopefully that "Ball Machine" isn't rigged.

I agree, between Letterman and Kimmel. However, Conan has a decent chance of nailing the all-important 18-49 demographic.

What's the demographic of the average Leno or Letterman viewer? Well above 49? Or 99?

I thought Conan was bought out by NBC including The Masturbating Bear?

The only thing that bothers me is that CTV Atlantic and Comedy air TDS/Colbert and Conan all at the same time. I think that CTV Atlantic should switch Conan and the Comedy Central shows so that Conan airs at 12:05 and TDS/Colbert at 1:05 (AT, so 11:05 and 12:05 ET). Of course all of the other CTV stations could keep the current schedule because the whole point would be to have the premiere of Conan and TDS on at the same time on two different channels.
