originally I thought it was the Royal Canadian Air Farce, but I did find a reference yesterday to a British show which jogged my memory. (It's the show that eljay origianlly guessed, but I don't think it was Spitting Image.)

so I'll let eljay answer that one. I think he was right, and I must have unknowingly been playing ESP.
