i dunno Voyager was great and lasted 7 years.

DS9 lasted 7 series.

the only "failure"(if you want to call it that) would of been Enterprise. and even it lasted 4 years (which i might add is 1 year LONGER then the original series).

so in comparison i would say SGU was way worse off then any of the star trek series

Maybe they will continue the story in books like they did DS9.

That was the last episode? Crap! I already figured out how he could survive for three years unfrozen, giving him plenty of time to resolve everyone's problems and make Rush obsolete!

I always felt they let SG1 run on a couple years too long and SG-A a couple years too little.

Actually I don't mind that the series did not wrap up all the lose ends. It lets me ponder the future outcomes. Maybe in three years someone will reboot the franchise. It maybe that SG needs a little time away from the audience. With this ending there are unlimited ways to reboot SGU in either a TV series or Major Movie. Kind of fitting if it went back to the theatres as it would be full circle from the Big Screen to the small screen and back again.

I haven't watched this weeks episode of SGU yet. Is it the last episode?

I've been pretty critical of the show since the beginning, but it has really picked up the last five episodes or so. The finale was even kind of sad. It's disappointing we won't ever find out what happened to them. At least they gave it a good ending.

I've watched (and liked - but not loved, lol) it from the beginning, and have to agree - the last few episodes were the best.
Perhaps this, combined with the way they ended it, means it may be ressurected at some point. Wishful thinking, but that would depend on the reception of the last few episodes - the possibility remains. They decided it was to be cancelled months before these 'better' episdoes, so who knows? They may change their mind after seeing ratings/dvd sales.

Re: the spoiler. I think the parallel is fitting

If they don't bring back the series, maybe we can hope for a "TV Movie", DVD or full movie release.
