VE2AZK Dollard des Ormeaux. Great site completed an indoor SBGH from specs on this forum. Works great with a Tivax STB-T8 converter box. Picture quality on that 25 year old Sony has never look so good. Next antenna project will be an outdoor one - GH6 jed design.

cq cq de VE3DVY

Just got my Canadian certificate after 25 years break from ham. Im into vintage and BoatAnchors just starting the collection though. the first HF transmitter will likley be a home brew two tube Tuna Tin if I can find some chrystals. Im in the process of restoring a Hammalund HQ-110c

nothing wrong with the new stuff just to expensive for me right now and I love the warm glow of the tubes.

years ago I was KA9ORM in Indiana

VE3DKM here. Did the basic license when I was in high school. Haven't been on the radio much lately but I'd like to get back into it.

VE3APK was Charlie Powers, of Oakville, for many years. I remember the day he died, while on the way to the Guelph Hamfest. I knew him through the Oakville Amateur Radio Club.

I stumbled upon my first HAM radio broadcasts last night on my Grundig G5 radio, and it was pretty neat. Didn't really catch where the broadcasts were coming from, and didn't log the call signs I heard, but I'll definitely try again.

The main thing I know I found was Aurora Net on 7.055MHz.

When you hear a call sign, you can find out who it belongs to by using the search function here.

ham license plate?

Out of curiosity folks does your province or state provide special vehicle license plates for ham operators? Here in BC they have them.

If so, do you use one?
