WNIC always changes over early. I remember living in Chatham a decade ago and we'd be listening in October and it would change over. At least they moved it post-Halloween in this last few years.
From a strictly Canadian Viewpoint, I have to wonder which terrestrial radio station will be the first to flip here in the great white north. Our stations usually wait until November 12th, the day after Remembrance Day. I think Edmonton and Hamilton stations have been first to flip ,in the past. As soon as one flips, I know that it will be reported here.
Here in Nova Scotia, I don't think any station has flipped before December 1st. Will this trend continue?
CHFI used to be one of the early ones in Toronto. It would happen in the first week of Nov. I don't live there anymore so I don't know if it is still the same. It always seemed too early for me.
First with Holiday Music in 2019, looks like a tie for 2 Canadian FM radio stations. . 96.3 The Breeze, Edmonton and 104.3 The Breeze, Vancouver; both flipped on November the 12th. Does anyone know of another that flipped yesterday?
Starting on December 2nd, CKBW plays all Christmas music evenings and weekends.
CKBW-FM is a radio station broadcasting at 98.1 FM in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The station also operates in Liverpool, Nova Scotia at 94.5 FM and in Shelburne, Nova Scotia at 93.1 FM.
