I've also read a bit lately about ADS-B flight information (as used by sites like FlightAware and FlightRadar24) being accessed with RTL-SDR dongles to track flights, but I don't have a link to that as of yet. ADS-B units are easy to get cheaply, so using RTL-SDR for that might be just for the DIY folks who want to say they did it. Time for me to look it up further.
