thanks
I think, the best way is to write me a PM telling WVNY exactly what is going on a t your end. What kind of antenna, the height, receivers etc.... I will print them and FEDEX it along with the the ones in the other forums at the end of the week. If it's a good way, GO FOR IT!!!!!

Also, be angry, but not too much. We don't want to kill our chances of getting a better signal over here...

WPTZ-DT (NBC) Plattsburgh, NY

Well nobody else mentioned it... WPTZ (NBC affiliate) is up ... strong signal for me downtown - around 90% or so.. but it's a crap day outside too.. they're all around 90 with the rain.

Nothing new on ABC though

When is CBC/SRC moving to the mountain? Is there a target date?

craigstar, you could ask Marc (CBC guy) if he's heard anything about it:

That got me thinking, the stations that are transmitting now at full power - will they continue to transmit at the same power after 2009? That is, once the analog stations are taken down, will they be able to (or will they even want to) increase power to the digital stations further? Anyone have any ideas?

in my case, CFCF 12 analog affiliate in Montreal is soooo strong that i can't get channel 13 ABC affiliate in Vermont on some tuners. The sooner they remove 12 from the air the better!!!! They are suppose to relocate at 21 in the digital realm.

FULL POWER on NY / VT STATIONS

If WPTZ, WCAX and VETV are at full power, this will be a cakewalk. Fox (WFFF) must have done something to their site as they are now consistently lockable and coming in just below 70% (EVU 9200).

WCFE is hitting me at 91%.

This with a 4 bay bowtie in Ste.Dorothee / Laval. It seems that they may have made a major change at the Mt Mansfield site... I do not know what else would have changed the signal levels that appreciably.

I locked onto Fox tonight for the first time ever at 65+%. I also picked up Digital 18, WPBS for the first time ever. NBC and CBS were at 85+% then all of a sudden I lost the lock on Fox and NBC/CBS was eratic between 60-88%

Normally CBS is at 70-72% and NBC 60-68%. VPT was at 49% with no lock unless I rotated my antenna, but that would cause me to lose NBC/CBS. WPBS was never there before and Fox was always 0-49% with no lock.

What's going on? Why all of a sudden am I getting much better reception? And is Fox at full power? Or were they for a bit tonight?

See the DXing and Tropospheric Skip thread for an explanation. Its the crazy weather in the east, with a huge low pressure system from the U.S. being chased by a huge high pressure system from the Arctic.
