Interesting offering but ultimately very disappointing.
1. Start is serving up the same large packages as the big players. I'm being forced to pay for a large number of non-mandatory channels I don't want while not getting some that I do.
2. No pick and pay option.
3. Optional packages are large and cost $10. Why must I pay $10 to get one channel?
4. PVR capacity is only 50 hours with no option given to add more. I chew up 50 hours just recording a few shows and movies to binge watch over the holidays.
5. Some channels cannot be recorded with PVR.*
6. Rental prices for the STBs are high. $10 for a $125 item is way too high. At least there is a purchase option. At $10, rent to own would be nice.
7. No voice remote.
8. VOD not yet available.
9. Chromecast, Roku, and Amazon Fire support not yet available.
10. Some channels don't support viewing over wifi devices.*
11. Some channels do no allow video controls.*

* 5, 10 and 11 are probably broadcaster restrictions but why put them in the most popular package? I'd rather not pay for channels that have too many restrictions.

The bottom line is that it's just more of the same old, same old with a small discount. The Premium package is probably the best deal but it has over a dozen channels I don't want (some with high wholesale prices) and is missing 3 or 4 channels that are must haves for this household. They will cost $20 to add. That brings the price up to almost what we are currently paying.

They don't even list what channels are HD.
And NBC Boston is not WHDH.

Also don't forget the $50.00 per month fee for the internet package if you don't already have it. That $20.00 skinny package is actually $70.00 with the internet fee added.

Oops, I forgot to add the rental or purchase of a modem!

OTA, CM4221HD, 3410 amp, 4 way split, HW-150 PVR.
FTA, Openbox S9, 33” dish, PLL LNBF. Stab 90HH.
