@liverpool the Crave app would have to be on the list of supported apps you can link. It doesn't look like many apps are supported according to this U.S. list. You probably have to be sure your country is set to Canada.

You can tweet Crave and ask them to support it, but it probably won't be a high priority unless it's really easy.

I've been using voice command on Ignite TV remote for Crave TV on demand movies/TV series. I say "game of thrones" and it brings me to the last episode that I watched. I can even say skip ahead 5, 20 ... mins.

I can't search anything using the Crave TV app on my Android phone or tablet. It just comes back with "You appear to be offline." I'm not offline and can watch programming. It just cannot search for it by name.

Interestingly enough, similar things happen with Rogers Digital TV. Searches fail about half the time and attempting to play recordings almost always comes back with "Failed to connect."

Don't know if this is a Rogers thing or because I am logged in through Rogers. When I subscribed to Crave directly it wasn't an issue.

When I downloaded the updated Crave App on my iPad this morning, I see that 1080P is now available.

Thanks @57 I just checked and they didn't mention iPad in yesterday's tweets.

Apple TV Generation 4, Samsung TV and Amazon FireTV are now available on 1080p and the video quality we deliver will depend on the content and your Internet Connection, because Crave will send you the highest quality stream your connection can support.

We are working on bringing support to more platforms, like Android TV and PS4. You can always keep an eye on our feed for updates.

Then I should be getting 4K with Dolby+ audio on my Chromecast (like Netflix.) Instead I get fuzzy 720p and dull stereo sound. I don't even see the Chromecast mentioned in the press release. It looks like Bell is showing favouritism in the devices they support.

Just tested this. Using an iPad mini casting to Vizio M65 (F series) with the built in CC. Was able to get 1080p but still stereo sound.

Tested with Blade Runner 2049, IT, and True Detective S1E1.

So now Crave is only stuck 5 years behind everybody else.

^ Pretty bad they can't manage 5.1 audio when Netflix has Dolby Atmos.

I agree about the 5.1 audio.

I'm hoping they will have it before the season premiere of Game of Thrones.

When streaming, I'm now getting an ad at the beginning of GOT episodes. Not impressed especially when I'm paying to not watch ads. Anybody getting an ad?

Yes I am getting the ad. it is an ad for another HBO show, I don't think Crave can do anything.

Crave and HBO Canada are both owned by Bell so it is definitely within their control. It's just more cynical self promotion by Bell and their brands that is ruining television viewing for Canadians who watch their channels and services.

Crave TV has been down for the past 90 minutes. Can't reach support and they don't even bother to play a recording about having problems like Shaw does occasionally. This is on subscribe through Crave directly.

Yes - It came back a few minutes after I posted. There were a number of posts on Twitter from users during the 2 hours before that. I just thought someone from Bell would post there but it was just users from around Canada.
