I (finally) found the picture quality/data use menu on CraveTV. It's the HD icon on the playback screen. Don't know if the setting is retained between titles. (On Netflix it can be set as the default for each user.) It has quite a range of options, up to about 325kbps which amounts to 2.4MB/hr. It's difficult to see which speed is being used because the only option that gets highlighted is "Default" which appears to be the highest speed with my setup. Only the highest 2 speeds are 720p. The lowest option results in a noticeably fuzzy picture even with relatively little motion, kind of like VHS tapes. The real difference comes with scenes that have lots of motion and picture changes. Only the highest speed delivers a clear crisp picture. The second and third speeds are 'good enough' but they don't offer significant data savings either. With a lot of picture changes, the slower speeds quickly become blotchy with the slowest speeds being a bunch of unrecognizable blobs. The picture quality with speeds comparable to Netfix's 0.9MB/hr mid-quality option appears to be worse on CraveTV but it's difficult to make a good comparison because identical content is not available.

I have subscribed directly thru CraveTV as a cord cutter for about a year now. It is part of my $50,00 monthly budget (also have Amazon.ca and more ).

The content has improved over time.

Now I admit I'm being lazy but I haven't read all the posts.

Maybe U can help me ... ??

I use my Win 10 notebook and port thru HDMI to my TV. Problem is I can't go 'full screen'.

I have the G2 Chromecast, but stopped using it months ago (didn't know you could with Crave)

Any suggestions ? (I'm settingmyself up - yikes !)

thxs !

I'm too old I guess ....

My ISP costs $50.00 / month with unlimited use @ 30 Mbs.

That's enough to stream several devices at once. It works 'cause I tried 3 at a time.

I use Ghostery and AdBlock+ and don't get locked out of anything unless it explicitly asks for me to 'cease', which is rare.

I have a VPN but only use it as needed.

Kapersky and AVG allows me to run 'fast', even on a 4 year old basic ASUS.

I'd never want to be capped - just too much to deal with and count ....

In the browser press F11. If it's a video window with the browser content underneath, click on the full screen icon in the video. If there are black bars all around both the desktop and video, check the scaling options in the PC's video driver settings.

Is CraveTV still only stereo sound? Or is there any device out there that outputs surround sound with CraveTV?

Just as an FYI, most "stereo" sound today contains information that can be decoded by an AVR using Dolby Pro Logic II or similar to give you surround sound. Although this is not as good as discrete DD5.1, it does provide very good surround sound. Often the signal is PCM two channel or DD2.0, but the same applies. Many AVRs have an "info" screen that shows the nature of the incoming signal.

I also prefer to have DD5.1 signals whenever possible, however, when it's not, DPLII does a very good job, on most material.

Here's hoping someone here can advise you if there is DD5.1 available.

So, for a little while (at least a few weeks) the CraveTV ways to watch webpage listed the Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic as an option to watch Crave on a TV. Now it is no longer listed. I was hoping to see more options in 2018 (like Roku support), not less.

It's like CraveTV either: A) Doesn't want to compete with Netflix whatsoever. Netflix is on every device you can think of. B) Want to restrict where you watch it. C) Is headed by completely incompetent people that would rather divert resources away from streaming and towards cable TV, but can't because they want to retain exclusive streaming rights to shows so that Netflix can't get them.
