Review of TELUSí new Siemens Gigaset SE567 WLAN DSL Gateway (in Vancouver)

I have been using Telusí new Siemens Gateway with their high-speed enhanced service for the last two months. It combines an ADSL gateway and a wireless access point (802.11 g/b) in one device. This eliminates the need to buy a separate WiFi router.

I found the SE567ís performance to be very good. I get full home coverage (2300 sq.ft.) with a stable signal. The signal strength is excellent throughout. I am able to obtain the equivalent of wired download speeds (2,609 kbps down, 612 kbps up) everywhere within the house. This is with 3 devices connected wirelessly to the network (Laptop with built-in WiFi adapter, Desktop with USB wireless adapter and PlayStation Portable).

On the flip side, the first Gateway I received was defective. However, Telus replaced it within a week at no cost.

We just started using this router and the same high-speed service as yourself through Telus. I hate it.
The router - built into the airport - has been blocking any torrent downloads. By blocking any torrent activity, it also slows down web browsing. So there may be a download at a max speed of 40 KBS, but the browser takes forever to load up a site. I use utorrent.
Have you found a way around this? - please let me know if portforward.com has worked for anyone. Thanks.

I just received one of these refurbished as a rental unit from Telus for signing up for DSL.

Are the antennas integrated?
