"Due to high call volumes, we will call you back in 7 days"
Anyone ever been given this nonsense by Bell? I had a 12-month promo on Home Phone expire and I called to renew. Was told due to high call volumes, someone would call me back within 7 days to discuss. Even gave my cell # (Rogers) to call me at. They have 2 days left - will I hear from them? The next call will be to cancel if not.
I've had other companies that promised to call back in a few minutes take days to call. I usually put the phone on speaker and wait. It's usually shorter than stated. Had Shaw Direct on hold for 6 hours once. That must have been their "award winning" service.
