Control DVR box with MTS STB?

First time here! I had a look around for this question but didn't find what I was looking for; I do apologize if it's been asked already.

I wish to control my Pioneer DVR with my MTS STB (A Motorola RG2400) using the the IR Blaster, similar to how you would do this with a VCR. This should technically be possible, however I'm not certain the Gemstar software includes the necessary control codes to do so.

Anybody have info on this or know where to point me? I have no problem recording however it currently requires too much fiddling around and it would be nice to simply select "Record" from the EPG and away everything goes.

Came from using a Digital Cable system with a dual-tuner PVR and I'm really missing that functionality...however trying to make the best of it with this MTS setup.

Thanks for any help!

I had a similar, but different, problem when I first got MTS TV.
How to control the RG2400 from my TiVo.

It turns out that the "Motorola" codes don't work.
I had to set it to "Next Level Comm".
This info was given to me by MTS Tech Support.
You might want to try them.

Thanks for the reply, however I want to do the reverse of your situation; I want to control my DVR from my MTS box, not the other way around.

Having a Tivo would be nice but I don't feel like having to pay for another subscription service.

Thanks anyway. Anybody else have a suggestion?
