The issue was NHLCI, and the fact that MTS does not have it and will not likely have it in the future. Shaw is Canada's second largest provider and they don't have it, so do you really think MTS will buy it? Remeber the take rate is about 5-10%, so MTS has 60,000 subs, so they are working with NHLCI based on a max of 6,000 customers, not likely they will get a deal based on the numbers alone.

No, I don't believe you'll see NHLCI on MTS unless they strike a beauty deal. It's not impossible, just improbable.

If you buy the Bell reciever and dish are you saving money? What plan are you on davethehelper?

I might just cancle myMTS TV AND landline phone and then it will be in my budget. I'll just use my cell.........pondering thoughts at 2 am not good.......i'll sleep on it.

What are your receiver needs? (do you need hd? how many tv's?)

2 TVs none are HD right now, but i will have one soon. So i guess i would want the HD reciever in the meantime......Can you use the the HD reciever to view SD stations?

Purchase the HDPVR for $600, you will get a $300 programming credit so your total net cost for two rooms is $300. This box will do all your needs including recording NHL and allowing you to pause and rewind live sports.
