Phone won't cross border automatically
My wife and I both use Samsung Galaxy Core phones, without data subscriptions.
In the past, when we drove south across the US border, the phones would automatically connect to a US mobile network, and we would receive a text message about the increased costs.
Last weekend we drove to Grand Forks on Friday, and back to Winnipeg on Saturday.
Trying to make a call from Grand Forks, the phone said we had no mobile connection.
I had to go into settings, more networks, search for providers, and manually connect to AT&T before we could use the phone.
Returning to Winnipeg, I had to do the same thing before I had a mobile connection to MTS.
Why has this behaviour changed?
