They probably have to manually check their system. Bonded installs up to this point are anything over approximately 900m I believe. The tech I know said the L50 plan is only possible on loops 400m or less, IIRC. Not very far. Good ol' DSL.

Typing in my address or using my phone number on the MTS internet plan page shows that I can get this plan. I just have to chat with an agent tomorrow to confirm. Hope that I'm not in for a disappointing chat. If I can get the 50mbps in my area, its a done deal as far as I'm concerned. I just read that Shaw bb 50 is going up to $80.00 a month and most of Winnipeg only gets 3mbps upload on that plan, so if MTS can deliver 5mbps up at $78.00 a month, good on them. Still liking the MTS 20 better than Shaw BB50, would love to try MTS 50. Thank you so much MTS for listening to your customers!!

There is no minimum term for this, right? Like I could get it for 6 months and then downgrade?

These are the terms posted under the 6 month trial offer. To bad I can't get the discounted rate for the first six months since I already have the lightning 20 plan. I am still on the 6 month discount for it, so I wonder if they will transfer the remaining 2 months I have left of that discount if I upgrade?

Available only to customers who have not had MTS High Speed Internet Service in the past 3 months. Offer: Limited time offer. Subject to change without notice. Conditions apply. After the 6 month promotional pricing has ended, call MTS or service will continue at then current charges (see mts.ca/hsi for current pricing). Internet: Service available in select areas. Thirty days’ notice required to cancel service. Actual Internet speeds may vary and are not guaranteed. I noticed the information sheet on Internet plans at the MTS stores now lists the Lighting 50 plan. It also still lists the old "Lighting" plan even though I thought it was effectively replaced with Lighting 10.

Any Higher Speed Plans In The Future?

I'm pretty sure customers on the old ADSL platform (speedstream, actiontec modem etc) are still only capable of "up to" 7 Mbps. Unless they've improved that too. I believe only VDSL2 customers can only get 10 down. Classic TV running at the top profile gets 8.5 IIRC.

I could try screenshots. Then again, they don't guarantee speeds and I don't wanna get in trouble.
