Not sure what this means, that these channels will be added to ultimate tv. Does that mean that they are added to specific channel groups and we will have to pay for them depending on what groups we want? Just asking as some of these channels are available already. Or does that mean they will be free? For instance Super channel is like $17 per month, so if we subscribe to a movie group are they free to us now? If so that is wrong, charging us $17 per month and free now, that probably means that MTS was paying like 50 cents, otherwise they would not be added to a group? Yes...no????

bigdoubledee, these are new channels, but it may be easier to read if you click on the link to the MTS site. For example, Super Channel HD 3 & 4 are Premium channels that will be added to the Super Channel group. Right now Super Channel 3 & 4 are only in SD. You will have to subscribe to the Super Channel group at $17/month to get them, along with the rest of the channels in the group.

I haven't checked, but I think all the channels being added in HD already have SD versions.

Also worth noting:

The changes take affect Sept 18, 2014.

TSN (22/1022) will become TSN 3.

Additional Video on Demand feeds will be added as follows:

Food
HGTV
History
Showcase
Slice
H2
Lifetime
National Geographic

Those all come free when subscribed to the matching channel.

Still no word on when MTS subscribers might get access to video on demand service away from their setup box, ie Movie Central for tablets/laptops or TSN GO. Sadly, it seems these might not be coming to MTS in the near future.

I've complained about the lack of TSN Go a few times to anyone who will listen - still no results.

From what I can tell the issues with TSN Go and MovieCentral Go (aka HBO GO) are more policy than technical. TSN is owned by Bell and MovieCentral by Shaw. It seems they are using the mobile services to prop up their own distribution networks and in theory are not making them (or making them available for a reason cost) to MTS.

Your complaints might be more effective if you direct them to the CRTC.

No, Just MLB and the TSN channels have been added. The remaining I assume will stick to the Sept 18th date originally stated.
