A couple of questions regarding Ultimate TV

Hey all,

I'll be moving at the end of the month and have arranged for ultimate tv to be installed for the new place. I'm currently an MTS wireless & internet (normal high speed) customer with no tv, and I told the dispatcher I would not require a wireless router as I will be using my WNDR 3700. Here are the questions:

1) How many pieces of hardware will I get? Just the stb? Or the stb and a 2 wire unit?

2) My modem as it stands now is the small black unit (actiontec?) and handles the authentication for access. Will the new hardware do the same or will I need to adjust my router?

Thanks in advance.

hey

you will get a stb for ever tv you want to connect and yes you will require a 2wire unit. you can plug your 3rd party router into the 2wire and yes it will handle the authentication as your actiontec is now.

Thanks for the reply. I assume the wireless can be disabled for the 2wire as well.

Yes, you can disable wireless on the 2wire or ask the installer to do it.
