MTS Bandwidth

I am wondering how much bandwidth MTS offers for their Light and Lightning internet plans. I can't seem to find that anywhere on their website.

Thanks.

I noticed about a month ago that they now have a "Usage Threshold" which sounds like a soft cap, but you may want to check with MTS.

Dr. Dave,

Are you using MTS yourself? I've been curious about their internet service for sometime now but have heard of MTS selling your information of your download content.

If you are using MTS internet, how are your speeds?

Thanks.

Richter, I currently have Shaw High-Speed (7.5 Mbps down/1 Mbps up), but I previously had MTS Lightning (7 Mbps down/2 Mbps up) with Classic TV and ADSL before that. I'll be getting MTS Ultimate TV and internet installed.

I find they both have pretty consistent real-world download speeds, MTS has faster upload speeds.

MTS doesn't sell your download info. You can check out their privacy policy if you want.

Did Shaw just increase upstream on the high speed package? When I had it and the site still says 512Kbps, I know the high speed extreme package is 1Mbps upload, it was my previous package with them.

You're right. Shaw High-Speed is 7.5 Mbps down/512 Kbps up.
