The thing I hate about SHAW is that their speeds are not reliable, they fluctuate a lot at different times of the day. Also, downtown, I'm Shaw is so saturated, that I was lucky to get 2Mbps most days.
With MTS, my speeds with MTS TV are a consistent 9 Mbps down ALWAYS. Also, MTS' upstream is a consistent ~ 2 Mbps ALWAYS, while Shaw's High Speed Extreme (or whatever it's called) is limited to 1 Mbps. Also, Shaw has a cap on it's monthly data rate of 100GB. I often exceed that amount, and MTS has no problems with it. I HATE bandwidth quotas (and traffic shaping/throttling) for which Shaw is well known.
I also hate static IP's.
My MTS TV has been very stable, and fast, and I haven't had a disconnect in over a year.
