Anyone here familiar with the level of service Bell Aliant provides to the town of Canso (Fibe, DSL, etc)? 'Cause Bell Aliant doesn't. Their website sends me to other provinces when I "check availability". Since that was of no help, I decided to call them. That was a worse experience...my veins are throbbing and I had to give up. The first level support obviously does not have that information and they won't send you elsewhere so you COULD find the info. Something soooo simple.....
Wow, that is all kinds of messed up. Using the power of Google Maps/Earth, I was able to find some residential addresses in Canso. The first few did tell me "you are in the wrong province" - when I then got to Union Street, their lookup tool came back with 6 addresses. I picked one of them at random, and the only thing available is DSL, home phone and Satellite TV. Depending on where exactly you are located, you may not even get DSL (if you're outside of the town, etc...)
Thanks can3gxw,
I never thought to use some different addresses...I was using the one I was interested in which is sort of 'downtown', so I thought it would be a good representative address for the area. Obviosuly, I was wrong! Anyway, thank you so much for tracking that down for me, that answers the question I had for that area.
Bell's strong suit definitely isn't its customer service...
