I guess they're not ready for regular MDUs then.

Too bad. My mother-in-law is chomping at the bit for this, and she's in a condo.

From the press release it sounds like retrofitting FIBREOP in an existing MDU requires a lot of cooperation from the building management. I would guess there are a lot of legal and regulatory issues, like ownership of the fibre-optic infrastructure and third-party access.

Since Killam has done this one, they are probably open to doing more in the future. I don't know if this building was a special case because of the fire damage. From what I've heard, Killam is a major property manager in Atlantic Canada.
