IPTV in Montreal, Quebec?

Anyone know when IPTV will become available in Quebec? And who will be offering it?

IPTV, in the sense its used in this forum is only offered by Telcos and Bell seems to have given up on IPTV so the answer to your question is probably nobody.

TELUS purchased Quebec Tel many years ago and operates in some areas of Quebec.

Don't count Bell Canada out just yet. They had been working on IPTV for years and got stuck in the mud. It will come, just be patient.

Bell IPTV rumours are pretty much completly squashed the only glimps of hope I saw recently was on Microsoft's IPTV platform site were they list Bell as there partner in Canada.

We will just have to give it some time, I think we should see at least one service pop up by Q2 of next year.

George Cope, the new head of Bell Canada, stated in front of the CRTC in March or late Feb that Bell has no plans to proceed with IPTV in 2008 and review the capital requirements in 2009. I suspect that means the leadership teams and minions building the thing have gone on to other projects (or employers) at this point. Restarting the thing will be non-trivial.
