Question

Sometimes I just don't understand Bell Fibe TV channel placement?

as an example they have there ethnic services from the 650's' to 899 and also in the 2000's? Why not just move all there ethnics into the 2000's?

another thing is there PPV are in the 900's why not move them into the 300's along with the movie channels.

yet another are the Adult channels 700's move those into the 300's as well

And to top it off they recently added Veritcal TV 2650 which appears to be a religious channel(not sure where its from?). Why in God's name stick it into the ethnics section? They could oof easily placed at 634 right next to 633 EWTN?

If where me I would placed all the PPV,Adult & movies into the 300's,
moved the Stringray(adding their entire 100 channels). I would have like this:
100-199 French services
200-299 Local,timeshifting,US Nets
300-399 Movies IE TMN. and certain Specialty channels IE FX,Movietime etc.
400-499 Sports
500-799 English Specialty Channels
800-900 Stingray(Full 100 channels, )
800 Stingray On Demand
801-900 Stringray 1-100
901-1097 Radio & Sirus/X-FM stations
1098 PVR recordings
1099 On Demand
1100-1799 HD Verionsof SD versions
2000 Ethnic Preview channel
2001-2999 Ethnic services
3000-???? Special services IE 3D, 4K, on demand(for certain genre IE KIDs theme, Life style etc).

That's how I would do it.

For those that have subscribed to the WWE Network (Channel 1446) do you know if there is a difference between the WWE Network on Bell and the WWE Network on Rogers? Or do they both have the same features? Just curious that's all.

It is the same except Bell subs don't have access to the web version of the network which is where all the real content is.

my understanding is with the rogers you can watch it on your computer, now weather or not that is the exact same as the US, IE on demand content, I don't know. I do know you can't do that with Bell though. For me, the 11.99 is worth it, as I am a big fan of NXT, and I get all the PPVs. I am also able to get the American version due to my being a duel resident, so I also pay for that too. So a little over $20 gives me all the NXT I can handle, and all the PPVs, and on demand content I want.

Question

Bell Fibe has re-added 391-395 NCAA1-5 & 1463 NCAA HD7 & 1464 NCAA HD8. As to why Bell numbered their HD version like this I'm not sure since there are only 3 HD versions.

IE
390 NCAA0 to 395 NCAA5(SD Versions)
1462 NCAA6 to 1464 NCAA8*HD vweersions)

Question New On Demand Channel

Fibe TV 1 is all about your city. Tune in for great on demand content about food, entertainment, sports, people and places where you live.

The channel appears to be having technical issues, but from what I can gather from the info on the channel it appears to some type of "community channel" slated for each city?

I don't get as Bell already has a On Demand channel called Bell Local? Though content is only available from Toronto & Montreal IE Open Gym, some other stuff on Toronto's scene as well as a EXCELLENT & SUPERBLY DONE piece(The Verttial Academy) on the TTC(subway) from some transit enthusiasts(some that I know from the CPTDB)

Question

It appears Bell Fibe has renamed Bell Local 217/1217 to TV 1 also located at 1/1001. It basically has local produced shows about things about and around your local city. At present only content from Ottawa,Toronto & Montreal is available. Its broken down into:

Recommend
Food
Entertainment
Sports
People and Places

Each has selection to choose from various shows. IE Open Gym, Virtual Academy(Highly recommended)

I'm guessing as time goes on more product will be produced by various film makers from different cities.

From my sources, Bell will not be carrying Disney. It's not even listed as a partner on the Disney website.

Yes I know, but on another thread(I believe Bell TV Channel Discussion)it was mentioned that Bell will be getting it in OCT. Whether that panes out to be true or not only time will tell.

Here are a few Fibe happenings:

421 NHL-ceased operations
208/1208 TV-The Amazing Race auditions-Montreal VOD

They just dropped channel 1556 Teletroon Retro HD and SD channel 556! This had all the old classics like Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, Pink Panther, Jetsons, Mickey Mouse, Batman, etc etc

The channel now says the broadcaster has removed the channel. It used to be in all Fibe package levels. No word of this coming loss in any recent bills. How can Bell suddenly remove a channel and hold you to your bill/contract?

@SkiBunny Corus, the owner of Teletoon Retro, shut down the channel and moved some of the programs to the main Teletoon network. More details here:

Corus 2015-16 Channel Lineup

They also launched Disney Canada in English and French. This thread discusses the impact on all their cartoon/family channels:

Corus to launch Disney Channel in Canada
