Is there anyway to determine the feed quality?

I have it set to 1080p, I know currently the majority will be 720p but is there anyway to tell if the stream is 1080p?

Thanks

Only on demand content that says super hd, will be 1080p.
Nothing else will be.
Bell encodes everything else at 720p. You should set your boxes @720p.

Unhappy 720p or 1080p

I thought fibe tv was supposed to be at 1080p!. If what you say is correct (I assume it is) why then switch to fibe. I own two Hd receivers (6141 and 9242 and both only support 720p. I really thought that I would get TMN at full 1080p. Tks

Nope, only some on demand programming is 1080P. The rest is sent by Bell at 720P. See the following FAQ, which indicates what is broadcast and what the providers do to that broadcast:

there are no TV channels in Canada or the US that are 1080p so it doesn't matter what provider you go with you will run into the same situation
