I agree that we get too many CBCs. Here, besides CBC Montreal I also get CBC Oshawa, Peterborough and Kingston under CHEX banner, along with CBC Fredericton, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. Maybe it is good for them who watch different coverage of HNIC, but for me I do not have the need for that many of those channels.

I've heard a publicity on the radio today, saying that SRC "scientific" channel Explora was now available on Bell but they didn't mention if they meant Bell Fibe or Bell Télé, so I was wondering if anyone knew or have seen it in the guide.

Bell added new Portuguese channels. They added SIC Noticias and the brazilian channel RTBi. Their on the 880's with the other Portuguese channels.Looks like their part of the Portuguese package at no additional cost.

Although I'm not sure which ones Bell carries compared to Rogers, but I did a quick count on the Bell IPG and on the Rogers channel list.

Bell Fibe has 130 ethnics
Rogers 117 ethnics(channel list) but on their web site it says 107 multicultural.

I'm not sure if Bell is mising any, but I dought it.

I'm surprised Bell is beating Rogers in the ethnic department considering Rogers runs at least a few multiculturasl channels themselfs OMNI?

There's lots of new international channels and most are in free preview right now, so I would bet for the Portuguese package, Boavista.

MLB Extra Innings is also in free preview for Baseball fan.

Nor should it be, as Toronto isn't in the Sens viewing area.

Looking at the Optik forum, Telus is listing coming soon for CMT HD, CosmoTV HD, Nickelodeon HD and Sundance HD.

With any luck we'll get some new hd channels soon.

I predict by the end of DEC 2013 we'll see at least 5-10 new HD Channels. As to what those exact 5-10 will be I'm not exactly sure except for Cottage Life HD.

As to if these will show up on Fibe TV or some other provider I can't say at the moment, but something tells me that 2013-2014 will the THE YEAR OF THE HD!!!

Edit

OK I predict

CMT HD
NICK HD
Tree HD
Cosmos HD
Sundance HD
MTV HD
Cottage Life HD
Life Time HD
Slice HD
IFC HD

Will launch between May 2013 & Dec 2014?

In regards to Shaw updating their channels to HD, I think they will update all their channels at once. Kinda like what Corus is doing in the next couple weeks. I also think Disney Junior will be available in HD this year as well.
